Thom Hogan's "Nikon D7000 Guide" Still Worth Getting Today?
I have never bought any of Thom Hogan's guides, but others seem to speak very highly of them. If you have a D and know you're going to hang on to it for a while yet, do you think his guide for the D is still worth getting? He's offering it at a good price these days. All I have ever read is the user manual that came with the camera. The D is a complex camera. If you are going to keep the camera for a while it is probably money well spent. You could always post here, FM, and Nikoncafe to see is someone has one they want to sell cheap.
I like this because I can load the PDF in my ipad and iphone for quick access. From what i have read this morning, definiltey yes. Its like the manual with explanations that go above and beyond, in order for you to completely understand every aspect of the camera, and why and how to use the features. I used the magic lantern book and DVD with my D60, but I think this is way better as the D has a ton more features, I think this will make it easier to understand other than trying to read the manual. That's good to hear. Thom's D guide is going to be one of the first "accessories" I order, once the camera actually is delivered tomorrow, probably. That, and a bigger memory card.
